What is Ikigai
Ikigai or 生き甲斐 (pronounced as ee-kee-guy) is a Japanese philosophy from the Okinawa islands. Iki 生き means “alive” or “life” in Japanese and Gai 甲斐 defines as “value” or “worth”.
In other words, your ikigai is what gets you up every morning and keeps you going.
How it Works
Ikigai, a Japanese philosophy for a balanced lifestyle. Finding your Ikigai is not an easy task. It will require you to sit down and reflect about yourself, what you enjoy the most, about your skills, qualifications, the opportunities you have and how you can match everything in order to find this healthy balance for a fruitful, stressless lifestyle.
The coaching usually lasts for between 5 and 20 sessions, with each session lasting 30 to 60 minutes.
During the sessions, we will work to break down your problems into their separate parts, such as your thoughts, physical feelings and actions.
Together we will analyse the areas to work out if they are unrealistic or unhelpful, and to determine the effect they have on each other and on you.
